I grew up on a small farm in Southern Minnesota. My dad instilled the value of hard work in me at a young age. I guess you could say my very first job was in advertising—putting up test plot signs for Pioneer Seeds at the age of 14. Take that background, add in over 15 years of industry experience, and top it off with a “get sh*t done” attitude and you’ll get a hard-driving, no-nonsense (okay…maybe a little nonsense) professional like me. When I’m on your team, you’ll get:
Self-Assurance. I’m a risk taker. I have an inner compass that gives me certainty in my decisions. I’m able to meet new challenges, stake claims, and most importantly, deliver.
Arranger. I’m a flexible organizer and am best in dynamic situations. I love determining how all of the pieces and resources can be arranged for maximum productivity.
Responsibility. I take psychological ownership of what I say I will do. I have a near obsession for doing things right, and my ethics combine to create my reputation—utterly dependable.
Command. I can take control of a situation and make decisions. I’m not scared of confrontation because I know it’s the first step toward resolution. I’m compelled to present facts and truth, no matter how unpleasant it may be. I need things to be clear between people and challenge them to be open and honest.
Individualization. I like the challenge of figuring out how different people can work together productively and I’m intrigued by the unique qualities each person brings to the table. It’s interesting to me to know each person’s style, motivation, thought process, and how each builds relationships. Knowing this, I try to draw out the best in people, which helps me build productive teams.
I also love the service industry and have had a second job as a server and bartender at the same bar for over 10 years. I love meeting new people and shooting the sh*t with the regulars. Plus, I can make a mean Old Fashioned!
I’m a retired roller derby player, but still love snowboarding, being outside whenever possible and playing the upright bass in a band called “Sex Wings” (don’t ask). I still have a competitive spirit, but instead of using it to knock ladies around the derby track, I use it to move brands toward their most competitive image. Let’s talk!
